FAQ
Can't find your answer? Drop me a message on the contact page.
Are all your patterns really free?
Yes! Every pattern on this site is free to read and use. Some patterns also have a premium PDF available — that's a printable, ad-free version — but the instructions are always free online.
Can I sell items made from your patterns?
Absolutely. All patterns here are free for personal use and craft-fair selling. The only thing you can't do is resell the pattern itself or claim it as your own.
What skill level do I need?
Each pattern is tagged with a skill level (Beginner, Easy, Intermediate, Advanced). The Beginner tag means you only need to know chain, single crochet, and slip stitch. Every pattern also has a full stitch glossary.
Can I translate a pattern into another language?
Yes, with credit and a link back to the original. Please drop me a message first so I know it's out there — I love to see it!
Do you take commissions or custom orders?
Not right now — I open a very small number of commission slots once or twice a year. The best way to hear first is to join the newsletter.
How often do you publish new patterns?
My goal is one new free pattern every Friday. I also share WIP photos and yarn picks on Instagram between posts.
Can I feature your patterns on my blog or social media?
Please do! Just link back to the original post rather than copying the pattern text. A tag or mention is always appreciated.
Can I substitute yarn in a pattern?
Almost always yes. Match the weight and do a gauge swatch. The Yarn Notes section of the blog has lots of substitution guides organised by weight.
Do you share affiliate links?
Some links in the yarn notes and pattern supply lists are affiliate links. I only link things I've actually used and would recommend regardless. All affiliate links are disclosed.
